My attempt on writing a little bit of code to convert manifold polygon meshes into triangle meshes. (Currently only for .off files) For this it is not important, that each polygon is of same order as it is for the readOFF from libigl. I convert a mesh in a way that I get an off file, with same order for all faces. By extending all faces to the order of the highest order face, by adding -1's to them. And then I read that in again and convert all faces into triangle ones, by adding for each polygon other than order 3 a new vertex in the center and forming new triangle faces with that from each edge.
